Best-of-three legs competitions bring unique excitement and strategy to every match. This easy-to-use, downloadable spreadsheet empowers organizers across darts, table tennis, padel, and more to run flawless round-robin events without the headache of manual calculations.
Setting up your tournament takes just a few minutes. Follow these simple steps:
1. Enter Tournament Information: Fill out the light-blue cells at the top with your Tournament Name, Dates, and Location.
2. Add Team Names: Input your participants under the "Team 1," "Team 2," etc., cells. Matchups will generate automatically.
3. Set Scoring Rules: The default is 2 points for a win. You can customize these values in the light-blue scoring cells to fit your specific league rules.
4. Record Match Results: Scroll to the "Round" sections and enter the legs won for each match. The sheet handles the rest!
5. Monitor Standings: Check the standings table to see the ranking of all teams based on current results.
To keep a permanent record of your tournament, we recommend exporting the final sheet as a PDF. In Google Sheets, go to File > Download > PDF Document. For a professional look, remember to toggle off "Show gridlines" before exporting.

Each match is up to three individual games (legs). Win two out of three and you take the match. This format is common in darts, table tennis, padel, and similar sports where shorter individual games work better.
Every team plays every other team once. The template gives 2 points for a match win, 0 for a loss, and calculates standings automatically with tie-breakers as needed.
Anywhere from 3 to 16 teams. Each size generates the correct number of matchups and adjusts the standings table to fit.
Each match has separate fields for Leg 1, Leg 2, and Leg 3. The template figures out the match winner from those leg results and updates standings in real time.
